Recently, Teijin Fibers announced the introduction of vertically aligned fiber nonwoven manufacturing equipment "v-lap", and the official launch of high flexibility, light weight, high-performance nonwovens business. This non-woven fabric is expected to be used in cars, trams and furniture cushions, bedding and mattresses, car sound-absorbing materials and insulation materials and other purposes. Previously, the company is committed to using polyester cushioning material "elk" and other commercial operators made of polyester cotton non-woven products, and has been explored to expand new business.
Longitudinal non-woven eventually replace polyurethane cushioning material use purpose, and sound-absorbing materials mainly for automotive use, the development of high performance products. Since previous polyester non-woven fibers arranged transversely, and therefore, there is a low resilience, the pressure on the vertical direction poor tolerance, easy loss of elasticity of disadvantages. In contrast, V-Lap non-woven fibers is due to vertical arrangement, coupled with the use of high performance cotton developed by Teijin Group ("elk" "SOLOTEX" etc.), and therefore, with high resilience, resistance to pressure in the vertical direction, was less loose, low density and high ventilation, easy bending characteristics.
